ACCA 7th Annual General Meeting cum Election of the 4th Term Office Bearers
held on 8th August 2003 at the Grand Cophorne Waterfront Hotel, Singapore.
Membership

of Arab Paper Manufact. Co Ltd was officially accepted as Associate
Member.
- Mr. Philip Wong
officially proposed and approved by the Committee to be the Founder
President of ACCA in recognition of his initiative and pioneering effort
in establishing ACCA as what it is today.

FCBM
led by Mr. G.B. Shenoy performed the Indian ceremonial rite with citing
on the newly elected President Mr. M. L. Agarwal and the Founder President
Mr. Philip Wong, wishing them success in their
respective new posiiton.

Objective
Mr. Uchida agreed that ACCA should have two broad stages, the first
build friendship and working relationship which indeed has been achieved.
Next is to set specific subject or targets like technical trainings
that would promote and advance the corrugated industry in Asia.
Technical
Session
Mr. Atul suggested that we have technical session on next ACCA General
Meeting.
Mr. Don Daisley of Brently agreed to provide the necessary technical
training.
Mr. Philip Wong stated that the next ACCA meeting in Japan could start
the technical session.
Mr. Uchida of JCCA explained that they will have a two-da technical
session but as it conduct in Japanese – so ACCA member will get
the translation paper first.

Newsleteer and Production Statistics
It has been published for 2 years now, To make the improvement, Mr.
Deepak Killawala request all members to complete the survey form and
return it immediately to Mr. Liew K.C. Annual data of each country members
should be updated as well quarterly. Advertisement also has to be enforcing.

ACCA Website
Ms Tuti who design and maintain ACCA website requested all members to
email her for any update of information or data about their country, new
technology, exhibition, training etc.For commercial reason also suggested
that ACCA website start to received banner/advertisement. And using PIN
for members only to access sensitive information/data.
Work Plan 2003/2004
- Novermber 2003 –
Tokyo, Japan (to coincide with JCCA annual technical meeting)
- April 2004 – Chine
(to coincide tieh CPTA annual function)
- July 2004 – Australia
(for ACCA’s 8th AGM)
Others
Mr. Robby He as representative of Reed Huayin reported that Sino-Corrugated
2005 would be held in Shanghai in July 25 2005. Ms. Selina added
that the exhibition will be twice compared to Sino-Corrugated 2003, More

Mr.
Philip Wong mentioned that CBMA representatives had been attending ICCA
conference but this year will not attending – therefore, requested
any ACCA member who attend ICCA to represent ACCA.
TAPPI had written to request ACCA once again to be officially
their co-sponsor. Members present had no objection and confirm this co-sponsor.
HKCPMA has produced
ready neckties which sold at S$ 20. Anybody interest to have the neckties,
please contact Mr. Liew K.C or their country representation.

CBMA Dinner
|
After the meeting we all
invited for the CBMA annual dinner. As usual they have
auction and award presentation of their golf tournament.
The next day, some of us
had the pleasure to enjoy Sentosa sightseeing as well as a delicious
dim sum lunch. We wait so long, so that we order a lot and finally strangle
to finish eat. Even make an auction (the one who bit the highest had
to pay to the one dare to eat again).

– 30th Anniversary
PICCI 30th Anniversary
was celeberate on the 15th August 2003 in Mulia Hotel – Jakarta.
Mr. Philip Wong from CBMA and MACCMA team also cattend this celebration.
As well as players in this industry, manufacturers from Europe, Taiwan,
Korea, Thailand, Singapore, etc. While from government, Mr. Zaenal Arifin,
The Director General from Trade Industry Ministry.
Mr. Harry Diah the founder
of PICCI during his speech mention that he is very proud that PICCI has
reach 30 years and growth its members. Eventhough the market is very tough
at present, but all the member still ready to cooperate each other (tough
mostly just at the meeting – he added)
PICCI started 30 year ago on
August 14 and to serve future development, PICCi has come with motto “Building
Trust and Growing Stronger”.
During this event, PICCI also
launch its directory which consist of all member address and contact person.
The purpose of this directory. First to provide a prtrait of the Indonesian
carton box industry, Second, to provide current, reliable, up-to-date
and accurate data about the production capacity. Third, and perhaps most
important, to create a means of comunications for all those involved in
related industry.
