In 2008 MACCMA were faced with global economic crisis and pending economic downturn, for the corrugated industry, it has caused a market shrinkage. In view of this and to prevent unhealthy competition among members, MACCMA is in the process of formulating some sort of mechanism to prevent further deterioration of the industry.
