By using RFID the retailer can control their entire supply change from their warehouse from the suppliers to end users, for example one of the biggest retailer in USA mention that their financial benefits as follows :
With RFID all the content of the box can be identified all – just push the box to the reader Much more faster, efficient – No human intervention (with Barcode, we have to scan the barcode for each product inside the box)
RFID has been used by Wall mart for 1100 of their stores and 137 of their suppliers, and next year Wal-Mart will add RFID to their other 600 stores and 200 suppliers. While Samsung Tesco Korea has applied on each cases and the pallet.

How RFIF will effect corrugated box business
Even using the RFID we still need the Barcode for visual. So RFID actually adding cost to the normal barcode. Adding the value – enhancing the value. Failure rate will be 2-3%. That is why we still need the barcode for the back up.
On the 2 nd session Mr. inform us how to apply RFID. They inform us case studies for Electronic, Food & Beverage and Frozen Food companies
